I know I shouldn't care, but it's kind of like a train wreck - so awful you have to keep up with what's going on. According to the SMH, this year's Big Brother is set to be more political than previously.
Evidently, this year they've actually gone out of their way to pick right wing housemates, including one who compares herself to Margaret Thatcher! As the Herald points out, this is a change from the apathetic, apolitical bunch they usually select to be on the show:
Prior to [Merlin Luck's refugee protest], Big Brother contestants appeared to be selected on the basis of them having no political convictions whatsoever.
You've gotta laugh.
